I will be crowning the winner of the first annual Miss Fag Hag Pageant on sunday evening. Mintyfresh Comedy presents the first annual Miss Fag Hag Pageant: Celebrating the Unsung Heroes of the Gay Community. The pageant is a benefit for The Hetrick-Martin Institute: Home of the Harvey Milk School. The ten contestants will be announced on April 17th.

The Miss Fag Hag Pageant will be at Comix on Sunday, May 17th at 8pm at 353 West 14th Street, east of 9th Avenue. 212.524.2500, www.comixny.com. Take the A/C/E or L to 14th Street. Marriage Equality Rally on Sunday

Please come out and support Marriage Equality by attending this peaceful rally of love on sunday the 17th from 5-7 in NYC at 45th and 6th.

The National Organization of Marriage (the anti-gay organization that created the "Gathering Storm" video and now have Miss CA as their spokesperson) and Senator Diaz from the Bronx will be protesting at Governor Paterson's Manhattan office on Sunday. They are protesting him for presenting the marriage equality bill and being such a strong supporter of civil rights.

As a response to their protest there will be a Marriage Equality Rally in Midtown to show the Governor and the State of New York, that we support equality for all. Broadway Cares, HRC, Civil Rights Front, and Empire State Pride Agenda have been working together to ensure that our response to their hate is LOVE.

The NY State assembly is expected to pass Marriage Equality THIS WEEK! It then moves on to the Senate where we only need to convince about eight more senators to vote for the bill and Gov. Paterson will sign it into law. We are so close and have to do everything we can to make sure New York joins the momentum that is sweeping the nation. We have just six weeks to get the people to call their senators and make their voices heard before the session ends and the bill dies.

I came across a billboard for The Tudors in Times Square today. I am a dork and obviously had to take a picture and blog about it, but its not everyday you see your image that big.

Broadway Loves the 80's Vol 5

TONY NOMINATION TUESDAY!

It was announced this morning that GUYS AND DOLLS has been nominated for two Tony Awards this year including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Set Design! I am honored and excited to be a part of this production. Its been a long time dream of mine to perform on the awards show at Radio City which will be broadcast Sunday June 7th on CBS. Congratulations to the cast, crew, creative team, and our faithful audiences. I love you "guys."

Oh my GAGA.

I went to see Lady Gaga in concert on Saturday night at Terminal 5 in NYC following my evening performance of GUYS AND DOLLS. She rocked it out. It was an amazing show that displayed her talents as an entertainer and as an artist. I was extremely surprised. She's hilarious. Well done!
